Well I've just returned from a weekend with my high school friends. Andrew, Craig, Keith, Tom and I met up in Downtown Denver. We all arrived and spent Thursday at the baseball game watching the Rockies beat the Indians. Craig set up the tickets and we had great seats. Of course we had to celebrate afterwards. On Friday we all slept in and drove out to Golden, CO for a tour of the Coors brewery. We had a self guided tour and then sampled all the Coors varieties. Afterward we drove up the local mountain peak and hiked a bit. We also visited the grave of Buffalo Bill. We finished the day with a fine dining experience at a nearby steakhouse.
Saturday we spent the whole day rafting the Poudre River outside of Fort Collins, CO. We started early and were greated by a river temperature of 38 degrees and a heigth above normal. We had a great guide who helped us navigate the Class III and IV rapids. No one fell out of the boat, but we did come close once.
It was great visiting with old friends and it seemed like we had never missed a beat...except for the 5 wives, 10 kids, and 15 years of time. I look forward to doing it sooner next time. I loaded up several pictures in the photo album section. Go check them out.
